Accessibility.
Bold and bright doesn't mean inaccessible. WCAG 2.2 AA on the website. Reasonable accommodations on the job site.
Standard.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. Every change shipped to lumenelectric.example passes both an automated audit and a manual screen-reader pass before deploy.
What we've done on the site.
- Black + electric-yellow palette tested for AA contrast at every state. The yellow-on-black combination clears 16:1; black-on-yellow clears the same. Outline buttons hit 7:1 minimum.
- Every interactive element keyboard-reachable with a visible 3px focus indicator.
- Heading hierarchy is semantic (h1 → h2 → h3 in order, no skipped levels).
- Mobile nav opens on the right with a 44×44 close button and traps focus while open.
- The bold uppercase Archivo Black display type is reserved for headings, body copy stays in Archivo at 1rem with 1.55 line-height for comfortable reading.
- Site honors
prefers-reduced-motion. The diagonal yellow accent shape on the home page hides at narrow viewports and never animates.
On the job.
If you'd like accommodation during the site visit or install, sign-language interpretation (we work with a local agency, 48 hr lead time), large-print printed materials, written job summaries instead of verbal walk-through, tell us when you book.
Shop access.
Our Linden Street shop has a level entrance with a 36" door. Counter is at standard height. There's no dedicated ADA parking on the block but Linden Street has wide curb-cuts at every corner. Call before visiting if anything would help.
Tell us when we miss.
