Four ways we work.
Most projects begin with a single conversation and unfold across a full design year. What follows are the services that conversation can lead to.
The whole garden, drawn, planted, tended.
The full-service engagement: site survey, schematic design, planting plan, material specifications, install supervision, and a two-year care plan. Most take nine to fourteen months from first site visit to the first photograph we'd share.
Design fees: 12–18% of install budget, typical residential project $45k–$180k all-in. We do three to five of these a year. Not for everyone, and that's fine.
Walls that hold and walls that frame.
Hand-built drystone in local sandstone or quartzite. Every stone placed, no substrate, no mortar. Freestanding garden walls, retaining terraces, and stepped landscape features. Our mason has 22 years in and has taught at the Dry Stone Walling Association summer school.
Scope: $450–$950 per linear foot depending on height, stone type, and complexity. Can be scoped standalone or as part of a full garden design.
A palette that belongs here.
For clients who have the hardscape they want but need a planting plan that will actually thrive. Delivered as a detailed planting schedule with plant locations, seasonal emergence notes, and a two-year care guide. We can install or hand off to your preferred crew.
Fee: $2,400–$6,800 depending on site size and complexity. Turnaround 6–10 weeks. Plant list typically runs 18–40 species per residential project.
Steady, slow-hands garden tending.
Quarterly garden visits for past clients and select new gardens. Pruning to species, seasonal cutback, irrigation calibration, plant swaps for what's not thriving, and the honest conversation about when a plant simply isn't right for the spot.
Fee: $450–$850 per visit. Four visits per year. We take a maximum of 18 maintenance gardens so the roster gets real attention.
Thinking about a garden of your own?
The first 90 minutes of conversation is $175, credited back if we work together. Start with the consultation, it's the honest way to know whether we're a fit.
